While it was virtually impossible for women artists to thrive in Germany at the end of the nineteenth century and beginning of the twentieth century, the image of the female artist was redefined in art after 1945. Since the beginning of the corporate collection, Deutsche Bank has collected early works of female artists who today play an important role in the international art market: Rosemarie Trockel, Isa Genzken, Katharina Grosse, and Annette Kelm.
