CURATORIAL AFFAIRS INTERNSHIP- General Programme 1

Period of Internship/Hours:

Qualifications/ Requirements:
University students majoring in Art History

Description of the role

•    The intern will be engaged in researching, writing and possibly handling Islamic art objects.
•    The structure is a mix of both remote/independent research and writing, as well as on site - the latter allowing the intern to research within MIA's Libraries.
•    As the various projects further develop, the intern will play a key role in participating in these ongoing projects.
•    The intern will furthermore be supervised directly by the Curatorial team but is expected to seek out and complete all projects independently.

Location
Internship duties will be carried out on QM premises and remotely.

Period of Internship/Hours:

Qualifications/ Requirements:
University / College Student specialising in Islamic Art History
(Strong research & writing)

Description of the role
The intern will be engaged in:

•    Researching objects
•    Working with the online collection: EMU, Google Arts, MWNF
•    Writing Public Access descriptions
•    Working with the database
•    Reviewing MIA publications within our database
•    Researching non-MIA publications (articles, etc) which mention/include MIA objects

Location
Internship duties will be carried out on QM premises and remotely.
