  • To Assist in research and building a brief, To assist and be a part of brainstorm strategies and ideas. Work and coordinate with the PR and SM team

Social Media Intern

Department/Museum: Marketing and PR Department

Section/Unit: Digital section

Location: Tower 2 – 13 Floor

Brief description of the work to be conducted

  • Assist in SM coordination in the museums Build a calendar of posting Assist in coordination during events Taking photographers and live coverage

Period of Internship/Hours: 120 hours

Qualifications/ Requirements: University – Communications, Studies in strategic communications and/or mass communications

Designer Intern

Department/Museum: Marketing and PR Department

Section/Unit: Creative section

Location: Tower 2 – 13 Floor

Brief description of the work to be conducted

  • Assist in designing flyers -posters Learning brand development

Period of Internship/Hours: 120 – hours - 120 hours - 5 hours per day, 2-3 days a week, between September 1-December 31, but flexible in terms of number of weeks.

Qualifications/ Requirements: University – Graphic Designer Studies in graphic designer and/or advertising

PR Intern

Department/Museum: Marketing and PR Department

Section/Unit: Public relations section

Location: Tower 2 – 13 Floor

Brief description of the work to be conducted

  • Assist in media relation
  • Assist in media management
  • On Ground assistance to cater to media requirement

Period of Internship/Hours: 120 hours - 5 hours per day, 2-3 days a week, between September 1-December 31, but flexible in terms of number of weeks.

Qualifications/ Requirements: University – Communications Studies in Public relations and/or media relations

Children’s Museum Internship

Department/Museum: Children’s Museum

Section/Unit: Cross-departmental

Location: QM Tower 2

Brief description of the work to be conducted

Children’s Museum

Cross-departmental – Learning & Outreach, Design & Interpretation, Curatorial & Collections

The projects that the student might expect to be engaged in could include several of the following:

  • Content research for specific exhibit concepts
  • Programme and resource development and delivery for children and families
  • Research and development focused on accessibilility
  • Audience Development
  • Collections research
  • Visitor consultation and tracking

Internship will be tailored to the candidate’s interests as well as the current projects of the museum.

Period of Internship/Hours: Up to three months – 1-2 days per week

Qualifications/ Requirements: We are looking for somebody that has a keen interest in outcomes for children and families. Qualifications might include Design, Museum and Gallery Practice, Education, Engineering, History, but we are open to applications from other educational backgrounds.

Audience Engagement Intern

Department/Museum: Exhibitions

Section/Unit: Audience Engagement Section

Location: QM Tower 1

Brief description of the work to be conducted

  • The intern will assist the AE section in developing tools to assess the impact of Qatar Museums’ offer on visitors and the public. They will spend time analyzing data, creating reports, and developing insights in order to make recommendations about how we can target audiences successfully to deliver upon our strategy as an organization.

Period of Internship/Hours: 3-5 hours per day, Sunday to Thursday or flexible according to schedule

Qualifications/ Requirements: University students or recent graduates from the field of Economics or other social sciences.

Strategy and Quality Assurance

Department/Museum: Strategy & QA Department

Section/Unit: Strategy and Planning

Location: QM Tower 1

Brief description of the work to be conducted

The intern will assist the SP section with the following:

  • Quality Assurance reporting
  • Strategy planning: programs, projects follow up
  • Governance audit.
  • Analytical and strategic thing on different issues, form governance to internal communications.

This is not a shadowing internship but a full time, hands on internship.

Period of Internship/Hours: 7 hours per day, Sunday to Thursday , fully commited

Qualifications/ Requirements: University students or recent graduates from the field of politics, public administration, international relations, public management or other social sciences.
