Brief description of the work to be conducted
Assist in the following areas:
- Workforce Planning with exposure to: organizational architecture, role profiling, and change management.
- Recruitment function with exposure to: organizational culture profile, interview techniques, search methods, database creation and maintenance, trend analysis.
- Employee Relations function with exposure to: HR reporting, leave policies and time keeping, disciplinary codes and processes.
- Payroll & Compensation function with exposure to: HR law with regards to Policy and Compensation.
- Learning & Development function with exposure to: needs analysis, training planning, course and workshop coordination, internal training, ministry training, and scholarships.
Period of Internship/Hours: 1-3 months: 3-5 hrs. per day, 2-3 days a week
Qualifications/ Requirements: University students majoring in Business Administration or HR Management, or recent graduates
Children’s Museum project Internship
Department/Museum: Children’s Museum

Brief description of the work to be conducted
Children’s Museum
Cross-departmental – Learning & Outreach, Design & Interpretation, Curatorial & Collections
The projects that the student might expect to be engaged in could include several of the following:
- Content research for specific exhibit concepts
- Programme and resource development and delivery for children and families
- Research and development focused on accessibilility
- Audience Development
- Collections research
- Visitor consultation and tracking
Internship will be tailored to the candidate’s interests as well as the current projects of the museum.
Period of Internship/Hours: Up to three months – 1-2 days per week
Qualifications/ Requirements: We are looking for somebody that has a keen interest in outcomes for children and families. Qualifications might include Design, Museum and Gallery Practice, Education, Engineering, History, but we are open to applications from other educational backgrounds.
Graphic Designer
Department/Museum: Fire Station – Artist in Residence
Section/Unit: Programs
Location: Fire Station
Brief description of the work to be conducted
Assist the Programs team in creating designs, layouts, publications, leaflets and covering photography with an artistic manner during different occasions such as Artist talks, Events, Exhibition openings, Open calls.
Period of Internship/Hours: 8am – 2pm Jan - April
Qualifications/ Requirements: University student majoring in Graphic Design, or recent graduates. Photography skills are highly desirable.
Programs Intern
Department/Museum: Fire Station
Section/Unit: Programs Department
Location: Fire Station
Brief description of the work to be conducted
Assist programs team with research, database, events, exhibitions and talks
Period of Internship/Hours: 8am – 2pm Jan - April
Qualifications/ Requirements: Under/Post Graduate
Events Internship
Department/Museum: QM Events department
Section/Unit: Events Team
Location: QM Tower 2 – 8th floor
Brief description of the work to be conducted
The intern will be engaged in the process of:
1- To assist in Daily Office Work
2- Assist in preparing Events Approval Forms.
3- Assist in basic Financial Work
4- Assist in preparing Presentations
5- To support onsite on All events in all QM venues, indoor or outdoor, day or night events.
Period of Internship/Hours: 5-6 hrs. per day, 4-5- days a week, between January to April
Requirement : minimum of 2 Interns preferably with some Events experience

Social Media Internship

Brief description of the work to be conducted
- Capture content for use on QM’s social media channels taking direction from social media production staff
- Support Social Media Production staff as needed

Qualifications/ Requirements: Personal knowledge and experience with social media channels
Digital Research Internship
Department/Museum: Digital Department
Section/Unit: Research Section

- Produce analytics reports for web & social media using templates provided
- Track social media data under direction of social media producers

Brief description of the work to be conducted
• Assist the Project Coordinator with a multidisciplinary list of tasks, including Documentation, Research and Communications.
Period of Internship/Hours:
• Feb – April
• 5-7 Hours / Day
Qualifications/ Requirements: Bachelor’s degree. Knowledge in arts is a plus. Proactive an independent, good diction, excellent with Microsoft Excel, quick learner.
