1. About Culture Pass program and Qatar Museums

A. What is Culture Pass? Why is it called Culture Pass?

Culture Pass is a membership program created by Qatar Museums to offer members a range of discounts, programs and special events. It is a Culture Pass because it gives members special access to cultural programmes and institutions around Qatar.

B. Why should I join?

Culture Pass is a great way to explore the world of art and culture in Qatar, meet new friends and receive great discounts on cultural as well as dining and shopping experience.

How can I join Culture Pass?  If I join today, when can I begin using it?

You, your family and friends can join simply by signing up online or in person at any of our museums and immediately start to enjoy the benefits.

D. How long is my membership valid for?

CP Plus and CP Family, our paid memberships, are valid for 12 months from the date of registration.

CP Basic membership is ongoing and does not need to be renewed.

E. How do I get the membership card or e-card?

You will receive your card on the spot when you sign up at our museums or you can download your e-card if you sign up through our app and it will show up on your Apple Wallet or your Android Pay.

F. What should I do if I lose my Membership card?

If you lose your plastic card, the good news is you can still use your membership number to receive the benefits and discounts. However, many people love our plastic cards and want them reprinted. You can simply go to our museums (National Museum of Qatar, Museums of Islamic Art and MATHAF) during museums opening hours to request a replacement card[PJL1] , it will only cost QR50. G. Can I lend my Membership card to my partner, friend or family?

No you cannot lend your membership card as the benefits apply for the card holder only. However, you can upgrade to Culture Pass Family membership, where your spouse and up to six children can have Culture Pass memberships.

H. When will I receive my membership card?

We do not send membership cards out to you, but you are welcome to get yours printed at any of our museums.

If I bring a guest to the Museum, can they receive discounts with my membership?

Only members can receive discounts and benefits. The good news is it only takes a minute for your guest to sign up to receive their own membership which they can start using immediately. Please refer to question C on how to sign up to become a member.

J. Where can I use my Culture Pass membership?

You can use your membership to receive benefits at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) café and giftshop, Al Riwaq Gallery café and gift shop (adjacent to MIA), food trucks and kiosks in MIA Park, at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art gift shop, at Cass Art and Café 999 at the Fire Station, and at the National Museums of Qatar outlets. We are always adding more locations so visit the Culture Pass website for the latest updates.

2. About membership education programs, activities & exhibitions

A. Which VIP exhibitions are included in membership?

Culture Pass is always looking for ways to give our members the VIP treatment. In some cases we can offer members the chance to attend VIP events and exhibitions, on a first come first serve basis because of limited spaces.

B. Do I need to pre-book for special exhibitions?

At the moment, most of our exhibitions are free so you do not need to book tickets, however, we offer a range of great workshops and events around the exhibitions for members and these do require pre-booking. If you would like to know more, visit our website qm.org.qa.

C. How can I learn about Culture Pass member events?

Sign up to the Culture Pass newsletter to ensure you are the first to hear about VIP events, activities or news about Qatar Museums and its partners. You can sign up at qm.org.qa.

D. Are guided tours available? If yes, then what languages do you cover?

We offer special guided tours once a week for members conducted in English and Arabic. The tour times can be found on qm.org.qa.

E. Are the workshops popular?

Yes, very popular, booking a week before is highly recommended, this can be done at members@qm.org.qa

A. Are there any special events for Members?

Yes, we offer members workshops, events, lectures and tours. Those events will be communicated to our members through email.

B. How do I book for lectures and events?

Please email members@qm.org.qa and tell them the activity or event you wish to attend and the time and location of it. They can assist you with the booking. Although members have preferential booking, you still need to reserve as early as possible as there is still limited spaces.

C. Do Members get special rates to events?

Most of our events are free, as a member you get preferential booking as they are often popular and book out quickly.
