'What About the Art' is coming soon

8 March 2016

Preparations are well underway for the opening of a major exhibition from 15 contemporary Chinese artists curated by internationally acclaimed New York based Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang. The exciting and dynamic exhibition, titled What About the Art? Contemporary Art from China, will be the major highlight presented as part of the Qatar-China 2016 Year of Culture.

Artworks exemplifying each and every artist’s unique artistic language and methodology will be displayed in individual galleries, a curatorial approach further highlighting the distinctive creative pursuit of each individual participant. Their diverse bodies of works include a series of paintings, sculptures, installations, videos, performances and interactive video game design. The exhibition will run from 14 March until 16 July 2016 at the QM Gallery Al Riwaq.
