‘Picasso-Giacometti’ tells the captivating story between the two masters, exploring for the first time the previously unknown relationship between the two artists, who, despite an age gap of twenty years, shared many key moments during their distinguished careers.

During the visit, HH The Father Emir also visited the studios at the Fire Station, home to the artists in residence programme, as well as the newly opened Cass Art shop, which sells top quality art supplies and supports QM’s vision of creating a platform for innovative art and design, by providing artists with an unrivalled choice of top quality art materials.

‘Picasso-Giacometti’ exhibition, on show until 21st May 2017, is a collaboration between QM, the Musée national Picasso-Paris and the Fondation Giacometti and the first to show Alberto Giacometti and Pablo Picasso together in the Middle East. The show brings together more than 120 works drawn from the notable collections of the Musée national Picasso-Paris and the Fondation Giacometti in Paris, as well as exceptional loans from French and other international collections.
