Pearls Exhibition Opens
Today, the Pearls exhibition, organised by Qatar Museums, is set to open at at Museu de Arte Brasileira- Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (MAB-FAAP) in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The exhibition is set to run from 20th July to 28th September 2014, as part of the Qatar-Brazil 2014 Year of Culture.
If you happen to be in Sao Paulo don't miss this unique opportunity to view a variety of jewelry made by the natural pearls of the Arabian Gulf (from 200 AD until around 1930), with world-renowned significance.
Pearls and jewelry by Cartier as well as Elizabeth Taylor’s natural pearls earrings by Bvlgari are on display. There are also ten royal tiaras from European monarchies, tribal jewellery made with pearls from Tibet, magnificent Chinese freshwater pearls and much, much more.
The Museu de Arte Brasileira is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 9pm; weekend and holidays from 1pm to 6pm. Admission to this exhibition is free.
