Artist Talk: Francisco Infante-Arana

Qatar Museums invites you to attend a special artist talk with Francisco Infante-Arana to mark the closing of the revolutionary exhibition Russian Avant-garde: Pioneers and Direct Descendants from the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery.

Francisco Infante-Arana (b.1943) is one of the ‘direct descendants’ and a key member of the kinetic group Movement from the 1960s. He is the most featured artist with 10 artworks in the exhibition. They include Space, Movement and Infinity, series of Suprematist Games, Four Mirrors in the Snow, Triangles, Squares on the Background of Trees and Birth of Vertical Object. His talk will explore how he manipulates energy, light and space to create radical multimedia artworks even to this day.
