Museums & galleries

A network to inspire a generation

Together, our museums and galleries contribute to Doha’s thriving cultural landscape. From traditional Islamic craft and historical objects to contemporary art, our diverse network has a vast amount to offer.

We provide experiences that motivate local communities, showcase subjects that touch everyday lives, and create the conditions for creativity to flourish in Qatar.

The capital of culture

The state of Qatar is becoming a cultural destination in its own right. We aim to be known for world-class exhibitions and for our vibrant arts community, which generates original content from within. Our museums and galleries play a vital role in helping us fulfill our unique, long-term ambition.

It is our hope that contemporary art will help Qatar and its visitors understand and put in perspective the present, the past, and the future of our culture, while constantly expanding and enriching international dialogues and local education
